The Trustees are pleased to mark the Tenth Anniversary of the founding of the charity, the trust deed for which was signed on the 6st May 2000. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to His Holiness the Sakya Trizin for his patronage and to His Holiness and the other Sakya Lamas for their support and guidance over these years. The forthcoming visit to Bournemouth by His Holiness from 4th to the 11th of June will be his fourth visit to us. We also wish to thank all those members and supporters who have contributed to the Sakya Thubten Ling over the years to enable the Centre to be established and to flourish for the dissemination of the dharma and for the benefit of the community at large.

During our existence as a group, in addition to regular visits from Venerable Lama Thubten Nyima and the Venerable Jamyang Lekshey and the visits from His Holiness Sakya Trizin, we have been privileged to host visits from H E Luding Ken Rinpoche, Khenpo Lhungrig Senge, their Eminences Ratna Vajra and Gyana Vajra (His Holiness’ sons), H E Jetsun Kushock (His Holiness’ sister), with the highlight being the hosting of the Lamdre Tsog-she teaching by His Holiness in the summer of 2007.

This spring also marks the sixth anniversary of the acquisition of our Centre at 167 Shelbourne Road Charminster in April 2004 and its official opening by the Venerable Lama Lekshey in May that year; the Centre was blessed by His Holiness Sakya Trizin in the summer of 2007.
